What Pepe' said!

I had nothing so fun as electronics...but I sure had a good nap right through riding time! bang head bang head I did manage to get out and get a ride this afternoon...me, the bike, the asphalt and all the make the beast with two backsing traffic I could want. Some days I wish I lived back in the flyover regions...well, not really but it would be nice to have less traffic!

Today's ride.........Sucked.

Traffic everywhere.

Late start and the previously mentioned dropsy.

Hooters did have hotties though.

Ben tried some bluecheese shenanigans , to no effect.

Still not really sure what the hell happened to Darren either...   Huh?

He txt'd me to say that he hooked up with some Harley riders. Sounds like he prolly had a better ride? Hope everyone is okay! Try again next week?

While my rear wheel is off I need to replace the rubber, too. I'll try to get that done this week.

He finally met us, after sitting at the wrong spot (the Exxon up the street) for a while.  He said that the Sunday ride had always met at the Exxon, and I was like "uhm...  no, don't think so..."  Anyhow, he did about the first 3/4 mile with us, then turned around and left after Dave had his off.  Then again though, he did basically the same thing after he came out with his 10/1198...

Very sorry to have taken the air out of today's ride, particularly so early into it.

I'm completely fine, except for a massively bruised ego.  Just goes to show you don't need to be a rookie to make rookie mistakes :-o

I spent the afternoon cleaning up the bike and making repairs, and took it out for a 15 mile ride late in the day to confirm that everything is working properly again.  Just need two new mirrors - it should be much easier to convince myself to buy some nice aftermarket ones now that I no longer have the excuse that the stock ones are perfectly good.

He passed Dave and I about 5 minutes after we got on the highway. Maybe his bike got mad that the other Monster left? Smiley

+1!!  Glad to see it was only the pride that was hurt.

Kind of funny, considering he was claiming to be having "power issues".  Maybe it was more like rider issues.   Grin

Guys you really need to get out in the hills, little traffic, nice roads, very little Police. Took Bubba out to see what it's made of chasing a Tuono all weekend, 587 miles, it ain't no Ducati but it's still fun.  Grin - Gene

this is darron.

you punk-a$$es think your gonna talk crap about me and i'm not gonna hear about it !

well, i actually just got back from dropping my bike back at the shop.  seems there is some problem when i grab a bunch of throttle, it dies out.  actually, it will drop and backfire occasionally when cruising too.  it only actually started when i had pulled out of the exxon to meet you guys at the sunoco.  then i noticed it again going around the corner leading out to where dude went down in the mud.  riding to meet you guys was the first long ride since i had the valves done a few days before.  seems there is an issue.

so, i bagged it b/c i can't be balling through corners with the power dipping out suddenly like that.  you novices do know what a lowside is, right?  well, i wasn't trying to do that.

so, it pained me to turn around after coming way the hell out there from arlington, on a beautiful day, to have to turn around and head back home.

anyhow, hopefully i get it back by this weekend.

anyhow, i kid.  but that's what really happened.  ruined my day of riding.  so i layed up on the couch and caught up on unwatched tivo'ed F1 racing in Korea.

i'll come out this weekend.  hopefully there will be more ducati monsters out since, of course, this is the Ducati Monster Forum.  not that i'm discriminating, but i'm just sayin... maybe there will be less hatin' on beautiful ducs by owners of bikes like KTM's (for example)  Grin
