Clip Master Links - Don't waste your time

I'm fed up with trying to install a clip master link. Its just a royal PITA to squeeze the plates together to get it to go on. Then when you've manage to squeeze them tight the clip expands too much and becomes useless.

Save the frustration, spend the $$$ on the right tools and use the rivet link. Trying to get away cheap never works out. I should have known this as I never go cheap on tools.

I don't trust it anyway.

before I got tyhe motion pro tool (which along with compressing plates for the clips, also does the rivit type) I used to leave one side of the Oring off. lol but now with the right tool, it gets done right.

I wasn't aware that any modern sportsbike used the clip links - I was always under the impression that they were not recommended because they were not secure enough to do the job. I can't believe anyone here has actually used one on their bike, considering what's at stake.

  Believe it. Never in 40 years had a problem that was caused by the master link.
