The Kiwi fans had the best costumes so far.  The one guy with the enormous blow-up kiwi bird on his head made me laugh out loud.

As for the NZ defender that committed the touch-foul that lead to tying penalty kick - I don't think he hung his head because he committed a foul that lead to a penalty kick; I think he hung his head because he committed a foul that all the NZ rugby players were going to mock as not being hard enough.

I'll just say this:

The Italians are better actors than soccer football athletes.

Sheesh.

That's the one part of the game I can't stand, the "simulation."  [roll] Just play the game already and enough with the cheating.

did anyone catch Ruud Gullit's take on the italian style of play?

he is not what you would call a fan of it.

it was during the post-match of the italy game. the statement i'm referring to was only about 3 lines long, but it spoke volumes.

talk about dives... the dude from the Ivory Coast should win an Oscar.  He puts the Italian players to shame.

yeah, that was really bad. however, it was a foul on kaka and anytime a brazilian gets ejected i will cheer. (because i'm an asshole like that)

also, i hate to admit it, but the foul that lead to the US' disallowed goal was a bit divey.

it appears there are indeed consequences for poor officiating at world cup...

But you can't challenge flags in the NFL, why would they challenge a foul in the World Cup.

The North Koreans are probably looking for asylum as we speak.
