Hello all, after 3 weeks I finally stopped in to Ducati Austin and purchased a 2008 ducati 1098s (red). Currently this bike resides in the garage with a 2006 gsxr 1000 and a 2003 honda cbr 954, with all three bikes together you can see the ducati lines still stand out. After riding the bike and putting a total of 53 miles on it I brought it back to the house and turned the bike off, moved all the bikes into the garage and when I went to start up the 1098s it wouldn't start.  Sad  The bike acts like it just doesn't have the power to turn over the engine, all it does is make a click and thats it. Im sitting here waiting for the road side assistance to pick the bike up and deliver it back to the dealership. On the phone the service clerk was telling me that this could be a cell problem and a new battery make fix the issue /fingers crossed. I do hope I will be back on this bike tonight and up at the meet later on....if not the gsxr is going to have a little fun.

chug Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself.

Cool Well Ducati Austin has worked wonders and was able to get the bike back on the road the same day! Today I tried to install the rear pegs for the passenger on a discovered that I was sent 2 right pegs, no worries Warren was able to correct this for me. Big thanks to the guys at the dealership for answering all my questions and getting this bike on the road again.

Welcome to the board.

1098s is a really sweet bike.

Post some pics when you get a chance.

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

I actually had similar problems when I bought my S4R...I rode it for about 30 miles then everytime I stopped, it would stall.  I was a little concearned, but like you the guys at the shop knew exactly what the problem was and I was back on it in no time.  There are some really knowledgeable mechanics regarding Ducatis, and can help easily with the normal quirks.
