This might be a stupid question.  Searched the official front wheel removal thread but didn't find what I was looking for.

I was removing the front wheel to put on a new set Pilot Road 2.  Jacked up the front end and put the rear on a stand.  I then removed the front caliber bolts and the front axel.  But when I tried to take the calibers off the rotors, DOH, I couldn't.  Apparently there isn't enough clearance between the wheel and the edge of the rotor to remove the caliber...  Due to the geometry of setup, it appears that the only way I could take off the calibers is to remove the brake rotors...

Am I over thinking this?   ???

You just need to push the pistons back into the bores a bit.  Make sure you re-set them before you ride or the first time you squeeze the brake, you got nothin'

One minor point - they are calipers, not calibers  ;)
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

I just twist the caliper like I'm trying to peel it off the rotor.
That pushes the pads back enough to get the caliper off.
