As a director I'll put in my input on this:  Yes it sets a HORRIBLE example, but when you put a helmet (and gear) on an actor/character it turns them into someone else for the audience.  The only movie I can think of with a character in full gear and helmet is Uma Thurman in KILL BILL, but at that point if I remember correctly she's being sneaky or evil or something of that nature.  In any case we often don't want to change the character in the mind of the audience so we keep helmets off (and we even complain about sunglasses but that's more minor). 

Let alone every one who sees it will say "Hey, they got a stunt double, that's why he/she's wearing a helmet!"

Oh yeah, Batman in Dark Knight wears a helmet, but I don't think it's DOT nor Snell ;-)  Was Bale wearing a helmet on the MV Agusta in that movie?  I can't remember.

BTW, Bale rides too... We had him at Streets Of Willow last fall... Super cool guy...

For SURE a helmet ruins it.. Plus the time to put it on, take it off, strap it, etc...

I just saw a commercial of Tom and Cameron on the Hyper riding through the ESPN studios.  It's funny, and yes, it sounds like a Hyper.

Keep your eyes peeled on that channel.
