Clutch is with the Doctor

Well, Cycle Rescue picked up the bike from LYD's this AM and took it the Eurosport in FW. We'll see what they say....
Alan, I appreciate you letting the Duc' rest at your place and everyone on the trip for being patient while we dealt with the bike. David wrenched, doing everything possible on the side of a hot, gravel road to get the thing fixed. Bryant led the rescue squad through the gravel to get the truck while Patrick waited with me. Many of you offered to let me take your bikes out on rides. I even got to hang out with Rich D and Duke on Monday. All of this was simply too cool.
I also have to put in another plug for Cycle Rescue. What a great group of folks. I know some others in this group used them in the past and spoke highly of their service and the way they take care of our bikes during transport.
I'll keep you posted on the bike.

Glad to hear the bike is in the shop and getting looked at. Any idea when they'll actually look at it and get back to you?

Let us know what the diagnosis is... In the meantime, doesn't *** have several bikes that need riding?!?

According to them, as long as they do not have to order any parts, it should be a few days.

don't feel bad george ams has mine. they say they are two weeks backed up on service. a few days you'll be ok. that's funny it was the clutch because the clear wrap around my clutch had started to turn brown. i checked the fluid and it was always full.

air in the line? bent shift fork? Sil hi mounts with DP ECU causing exuberant riding and shifting?

richd and I believe it's either the throwout bearing failed or the pressure plate portion that holds the bearing failed... guess it could be the little hat that sits in the center of the bearing too.. but that's a pretty stout little part

Well, just got off the phone with the mechanic: "loose nut--holds the clutch to main shaft."
She'll be ready this afternoon.
