is a winner. From 8:30AM PDT on Sunday, August 1, through 5:30PM PDT on
Monday, August 16, Pro Italia is offering a one-time 20% discount on
the purchase of any item(s) of apparel, parts or accessories per ticket
purchaser. For purchases online add your ticket number to the comment box during checkout. We will verify and manually create the discount.

Please note that sale
items, motorcycles and service are excluded and that loyalty points
will not be provided for the purchase. Please note that only one
purchase per ticket holder is permitted and that the purchase may be
made by internet, phone call or in-person. For further information see
www.ducatiperformance.com."

You beat me to it - thanks! We thought this would be a good way to say thank you to everyone who participated. Basically you can get your money back in the form of a discount or if you need an exhaust you can get 10x your money back!

Example - Termi Exhaust= $2150 - your discount for participating in the raffle is $430! Not bad for giving to charity and hopefully having some fun dreaming about winning a desmo!

Does he have to pay California State Sales Tax also which is what 11% plus State Income Tax on top of Federal Income Tax ?

Is there anyway for the guy to not register it and just use it as a track bike?  I can't believe taxes are so high on it that is ridiculous.  Is it really $25k in taxes?  In NY there is just 8% sales tax i didn't think anything else applied to buying a bike.

Yes.  It's treated just like any other lottery winnings, it's not a sales tax issue - it's an issue of getting 70k$ for free, and the IRS wanting their cut as it's considered income.
