Engine Case Cover Bolts - Belly Pan Install

Not sure if this is the right section to ask but here goes.

All of the belly pans Ive been researching mount the M696/M1100 by using the engine case cover bolts on both sides.  Does loosening/removing these bolts crack the seal?  Is there a chance of oil leaks developing even if torqued back to spec?

I've never encountered a leak from removing case bolts for that purpose.
