A Most Magnificent Monster

By Ted Bishop.  Just got a copy yesterday and started reading it a few minutes ago.  Chapter One, "Why A Duc?" is worth the price of the book.

Thanks for the heads-up, orangelion.

I'd not noticed this one. Had better get hold of a copy.

Nice interview with the author here on Twisting Asphalt.

I like the bit where he explains why he picked a Monster for touring.

Dolph:  I bought a soft-cover copy.  Used through Amazon...$.75 for the book, plus $2.95 shipping.  YMMV.

Moronic: Thanks for the link to the interview!!!

I read it back when it first came out...sort of a funny book. Parts of it are really interesting motorcycle/life type stuff, but then other parts get a bit academic. I liked it, but maybe not for everyone.

I have a copy of the book and enjoyed reading it.  I'll have to read it again one of these days.
