Does anyone know where a guy (or gal) can get their hands on a tank full of E0 around these parts?

ducatiz

IF you find out, post it.  I haven't found any, anywhere.

I signed up with a group to push for legislation requiring all Premium Unleaded to be E0.  Granted, people say to use regular, but...

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Most of the fuel stations alongside the marinas had E0 back in Hawaii.  It was usually somewhere around 90 octane, so somewhere in between regular and premium.

I normally run regular in my 2-valver, as it seems to like it better.  The SD gets premium though.

I don't think you could convince the state legislature to mandate E0 regular, but there are plenty of good arguments to do so for premium.  One of the biggest is that SOME small aviation can use premium unleaded but can't if it has ethanol.  Current Av fuel has lead: transitioning to premium unleaded would remove a lead source from the skies.

Well, it was the nautical community that pushed the legislation down in Hawaii, but it makes sense when you consider how much money is tied up in privately owned charter fishing and other sea-going vessels down there.

ducatiz

yeah, i hear yah.  i just don't know if there is enough interest in this area.  definitely not in Maryland.   plenty of people are just unaware.

I was almost thinking that the petrol stop I filled the VW up at, when I picked it up in Baltimore, had E0.  I do know that I didn't see any ethanol labels on the pumps, and I always look for those.

There's at least one, or there was in Balto, that my buddy took me to. It was a little bit in an 'interesting' area but it was E0. That's the only one I've found in a couple years.

Its pathetic that we call it E0 instead of G100.

This site lists stations by state: http://pure-gas.org/. Most seem to be near water...

DRKWNG

That list isn't entirely correct, as it does not list any of the Aloha stations down on Oahu that sell Aloha Classic.

I just added some StarTron fuel additive to the gas tanks. Found it in one of our local marine supply stores. The literature says it will solve the E10 problems. We'll see.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

What ratio do you use?
