Guns serve a purpose.

They can be seen and not heard ...............or if provoked they can be quite nasty.

I think we need to have a Chainsaw thread ....a special place where we can dissect every aspect of

Chainsaw type and chainsaw usage,

Chainsaw competitions,

Chainsaw accuracy...

which Chain types are best for the saws...

which Chainsaws are best for which type of circumstances and trees

ideal bar lengths for specific applications

PPC chainsaws (practical pruning combat) and competition

The best type of CQB room-clearing chainsaws

Laser sighting for chainsaws

How different historical battle outcomes would have occurred if the armies had been equipped with chainsaws

Secret development of laser pulse-beam chainsaws by DARPA currently being tested at Aberdeen

have I missed anything?
This is an insult to the Pez community

why yes friend..........

You forget the part where we explain to non chainsaw owners how they need one in case a tree ever falls on the house.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

excellent point...preparedness in the event of the deadly menace of intruder trees cannot be overlooked !!

also should a chainsaw be kept in the house fully gassed and oiled, especially if children are around

How could you forget chainsaw use as pertaining to zombie attack??

good one...also

Is bar oil necessary when using a chainsaw against humans or other deadly wild game?

In a SHTF scenario what chainsaw would you choose?

Gas vs. Electric powered chainsaws

Cast vs. forged and machined engine casings?

Compression ratios for optimal performance

Gas or electric pole-saws for perimeter defense?

I have a pair of Husqvarna's - a 357XP and a 365 - both with 20" bars - I run .375" X .50 72 link semi chisel tooth chain and dino chain oil.  Slings and carrying equipment just get tangled up in CQB.  I also run Husqvarna chaps and combo helmet, faceguard and ear protectors - remember ATGATT  (Husqvarna is the Ducati of the Chainsaw world)

I process about 14 full cords of firewood a year for my place and my folks.  I have a wood gassification system with a 1000 gallon heat storage unit - so I am totally justified to have that much firepower at my disposal.

In the event that I run out of fuel, I have a great supply of axes, and a large collection of crosscut saws. (which when I set them up cut amazingly well)

ZOMBIES? - BRING EM!!!!

This isn't a dress rehearsal for life - this is it!

I used to be scared of my mother in law.......when I used to go visit I would wear a necklace of garlic and had silver crosses on chains, in my pockets ,attached to clothing , 17 bibles in the car for emergency use and..........3 paid on full retainer Bishops that were experts in exorcism. My mother in law's head use to spin thru 360 while vomiting some green stuff.........it was later identified as chain bar oil mixed with Stihl 2 stoke oil and Jagermeister!
