That particular build would be the route I take, with a few changes.

So, one could buy a Glock and a nice motorcycle instead?

What's the fancy work on the hammer and trigger do?

How absurdly expensive are they?

Getting into this league?

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

On the low end, it'll cost $3.8, Hot Rod guns $9-10

Lighter, less mass on the hammers allow dudes with ridiculous trigger speed to do crazy light triggers and run the hell out of them. I don't fall in that group, plus I don't run 'race' guns. The first pic is a similar gun to my STI, but refined even more.

If I am going to drop that kind of coin on a firearm, it is going to be the ultimate in hunting rifles...   [evil]

There ya go, folks spend the money that 'they' want, on the guns of their choice.

What's the component on the top of the scope, attached to the elevation?

I think that's Barrett's gun mounted ballistic computer.

Here's the Wiki on the BORS. I've never even seen one, much less used it. We used ATrag mostly, along with some other ballistic apps.
