Oh yeah, since I decided to get back in the habit of bouncing into the forum again. Worth mentioning that I have a reason to post in this thread now. Acquired 2 guns recently, neither usable at the moment. A Nambu type 14 and a Colt 1903. I'll get around to tossing up a pic or 2 at some point.

i'm more interested in the performance and back pressure reduction.  whoever figured that out is pretty damn smart/luck

Yep, someone with a big brain figured that out, and/or stumbled on it. Very impressive. $1.4k is the cost as of now.

I had to laugh when I watched that... with those techs standing there in Tyvek and masks, looking bored and uninterested.

When I was in Army basic back in '86, one of the courses was an infiltration course where they fired live ammo over us.  I was in the first wave, and then got picked to pick up the M60 brass in one of the towers after the second wave.  So I get up there, and they had an M60 on a tripod, fixed to not move.  The second wave starts, and when they blew the gas mortars (to simulate a mortar attack,) dude on the M60 opens up... he's standing there eating an apple, pulling every so often on the M60's trigger, bored out of his mind.

My latest addition to the stupid-quiet builds. This is PWS Summit biathlon style action and trigger group with Ruger 10/22 aftermarket barrel and stock. this was a challenge to build. due to the style of action, the head spacing was critical. Adjustments took a long time. I have yet to take this one to the range. I might get the chance this weekend.

It is a Tactical Solutions barrel in flat OD green.

I've been using a Whistle Pig fluted bull barrel, but it's time to get something with threads.

I've been really happy with the accuracy of the barrel, but installation involved cutting a feeler gauge to use as a shim. So I wouldn't mind trying a barrel from somebody else this time around.
