Gun stuff people.... ;) Just saying. [thumbsup]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

I love that there is a wasp crawling on the spent brass at the end. Very cool video.  [thumbsup]

I got some pics of the new addition! S&W M&P 15-22

I would have got a better pic with the suppressor on, but I can not get the flash hider off. I took it back to the shop and they are going to get it off for me.

We've had a pair of high school exchange students from Germany staying with us for the past two and a half weeks, and in their short time here we've tried to cram a lot of US/Arizona experiences in that they can't get back home - the Grand Canyon, Sedona, high pines mountain bike rides, really good southwestern food, moto rides through the desert to small town diners, etc.

Yesterday, my friend George and I took them out shooting.

They started out with the 10/22, and got to play with George's .223, a .22 mag Ruger single action pistol (a favorite of both, in part because of the manageable size and in part because of the cowboy look), a Hawken replica blackpowder rifle (.50 cal, loaded light), and a 12 ga. pump.

They were both a little intimidated at first, started to have a lot of fun, and then were done after one round each with the shotgun.
By hammer and hand all arts do stand.

Awesome! Good for you to let them experience a little bit of Americana and some western shooting/eating/MTN bike riding culture. Heck... some people that live here never get to do that! Welcome to America!! I hope they had a great time. [thumbsup] Again, thanks for sharing some of what we are. We need more of that. ;) America gets a bad rap and experiences like this hopefully can change a few minds.

I believe that S&W pins their flash hiders, and they are destroyed in the removal process.  You will likely need a new flash hider for the gun.

This is entirely based on one experience with an M&P in 5.56

If you were looking to buy your first 9mm handgun, what would you buy and why?

A Glock 19 or 17. One of the nicest out of the box guns, period. The new S&W would be my 2nd choice.

it depends.

i think I'd advise a full size framed gun.  steel or polymer frame is irrelevant and a matter of taste.  you can learn any gun.  im partial to the cz guns but i also have many others.  i like the kahr or keltec for carry.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I just went through the process of choosing my 1st pistol, also in 9mm.  I went to my local range and tried out all the guns on my "maybe" list.  I fired a Glock 17, A ruger sr9 and a Springfield xd 9.  I ended up with the gun that fit my hand the best and fired the best.  The SA xd9 has been great for me, all 3 were nice guns for different reasons.
