Jeez. Now this to deal with. Why are 999s so oddball is what I'd like to know. Monstermash - do you have a photo of how you oriented your stock throttle cable housing? I know you probably don't have that bike anymore. Was it sano or did it look kinda wierd? Cable going over the switchgear may bug me a little.

There's nothing really oddball about the 999, maybe except for the styling, but that's to each their own.

When you start mix and matching parts, things just not working out perfectly right off the bat is normal.

I don't remember why I flipped my throttle cable housing, but I do remember something was not working out in the stock position.  Not sure if the issue I had applies to non-999 radial masters.

That's the exact same set-up I have -- 999 masters, lines & tomasellis.  My throttle is off a 916-era SBK though (i.e. no fast idle switch needed -- woot!), and I don't have the stock switches.
Occasionally AFM #702  My stuff:  The M1000SS, a mashed r6, Vino 125, the Blonde, some rugrats, yuppie cage, child molester van, bourbon.

Yeah, I probably inadvertently copied...

As my fast idle cable is right up against the clutch master banjo, I'm going to go that route also with the sbk throttle.

Here's mine.  I don't remember what the stock switches on that side look like, so I don't know if there would have been interference.

SBK throttle as it 916 style, or 999?

I was only able to research back to 2001 so:

'01-'03 748E/S/R, 996, and 996S.

curious as to why....appears to be pretty much the same thing to me.  What am I missing?

edit - I see you need a fast idle button.  Forgot about that (S4r doesn't need one...at least the 07+)

Yeah, I want to get rid of the fast idle cable and lever on the left side (allowing a bit more adjustably with the left switch angle).

"To me" it seems silly that they added a whole lever mechanism and cable to attached to the throttle body when a cable is already there.
