Yeah, last time I was over there I noted Cal had many of our highly flammable gumtrees.

A hundred years or so ago an Australian lumber entrepreneur sold countless seedlings to California.  In some places today you see what looks like a forest until you notice they are all growing in neat rows.  Turned out the trees weren't suitable for lumber so they were never harvested and are still growing.  I've seen those same type of forests in different places around the world, it seems like your countryman got around!

Hmmm, I'm thinking the water might be too deep.

A quarter-inch is as good as a quarter-mile.

Interesting historical note on the Iowa class battlewagons - One of the design specs was they had to fit through the canal to speed up deployment.  Japan's monster battleship (Yamato) wouldn't fit through and would have to sail around the horn to reach the Atlantic.  Not that the Yamato was anything close to a successful ship.

What does one do with 20+ raptors?

And why do they need to be flown somewhere on a plane?

(I will refrain from noting the irony of flying animals being transported by an airplane)

Are there raptor competitions?
