That made me cry. He was the sweetest little puggle. He greeted my Frenchie and at the dog park with what seemed to be a big smile and followed me around as made the rounds with Emma. His owner let me pick him up and he wouldn't stop giving me "kisses". He smile on face an we hung out together for about 45 min. Before it got too hot! 

So the owner and I are talking and she tells me she used to work out on the reservation sba that's where she rescued this little guy. I noticed he was a bit battered looking so I asked what happened to him. She caught the kids out there setting this dog on fire after they stabbed it, threw it off a couple bldgs.

And he still loves everyone!

Sometimes you can't beat down a good spirit, what a good little dog and those that did such a thing hopefully will get special treatment at some point in existence.

Poor little thing...  I am glad that he has found a loving home.

What a strong spirit!!

My girlfriend's sister runs a rescue for dogs with special needs.  Dogs in the shelters that are sick, injured, etc.  She gets them fixed up then places them in loving homes.  Some of these dogs have gone through terrible abuse, yet nearly all of them become excellent companions.  People can truly suck.

but the human mind really doesn't develop until you are much older than a 12 year old. Lots of studies and reading on the subject of the psychology of the human brain development verse knowing what is right from wrong.

Of course the parents should instill that in their minds, but we all know that seems to be a thing of the past.

I work with dogs and I love it. If I ever catch someone abusing an animal they will go to jail if I get my way.

I did as well, but not everyone does.

One of our family pets was a German Shepard while I was growing up.  We didn't know she had been beaten when we got her, but it didn't take too long to figure it out.  I picked up a stick to teach her to play fetch and she ran and hid.  Took quite a while to get her out of the garage. 

End result, she turned into the best family pet we ever had.  Her favorite game was to tear sticks to pieces.  Didn't matter how big, she would carry them around and chew them to bits.  I guess it was her little way of exacting revenge. 

We got her in Haiti from a Haitian.  The only sign of her abuse after a few months was her deep racisim...  Till the day she died, she hated black people, I am assuming because of the beatings.  We tried everything to get her used to blacks, but finally just kept her away from them.  She did make a good guard dog in Haiti though!
