I vote we meet at Starbucks in Bernalillo Sunday morning with the intent of LEAVING Starbucks at 8:00.  That would put us at St. Francis to meet with JJ around 9:00.  From there we scramble to Jemez Springs for a casual lunch and bench racing session.

All in favor......signify by saying "aye".   waytogo

All opposed......make an alternate suggestion!   Tongue

Jason

Welcome, Jason!  It's always good to see a fresh face on the board, and on the ride.

As you might have gathered from the messages, we ARE planning to ride Sunday, so you should come out and join us.  With any luck another fresh face, John Brown from Los Alamos, will jump in with us somewhere along the route, too.  If you haven't ridden the Jemez loop it's a relatively short ride through Santa Fe toward Los Alamos, diverting on Hwy 4 through Bandelier and Valles Caldera to Jemez, then back down 550.  We'll meet at Starbucks in Barnalillo, which is on US 550 just west of I-25 on the north side of the road, with the intent of saddling up at 8:00....so if you want breakfast come early (as I will).

If you can't ride Sunday, keep hollering and I'm sure someone will tool about a bit Saturday.  I plan to ride over to Steve Caruso's joint, MotoAuthority at Eubank and Constitution (On Eubank a mile or two north of I-40 on the east side of the street) Saturday afternoon for his customer appreciation event from 6:00 until 9:00.  I know he's serving food and drinks (probably hamburgers, hotdogs, and sodas), so come on out!

Cloner - thanks for the welcome, Sunday unfortunately is not a good day for me. I work at a hospital so my work schedule is all over the place. Ill be riding in from Gallup, I'm pretty familiar with abq an that moto authority event sounds good too.

That route you gave sounds like a good scenic ride, since I'm from Gallup an near Arizona my fav place to ride at times is to canyon de chelly, scenic as well. Definitely no twists n turns unfortunately mostly a straight jaunt here n there.

Karl no better way to shake a jet lag than a ride through Jemez...C'mmon it would be our warm spirited welcome. [moto]

Looks like a good ride.

The Fiancee and I rode up 337.  On the way back we were tailing two Harley's and one of them went down hard on a sharp right turn.  We both stopped to make sure he was alright.  He broke his leg, right above the ankle.  The guy is really luck considering he wasn't wearing a helmet or jacket.  It could of been much worse.
