Hi, Im looking at doing the tail chop on my S4R soon and am wondering if anyone has done it with a set of termi (shotgun on the right hand side) i am wondering if it looks any good or looks a bit ordinary. My concern is that im trying to gauge if the pipes will stick out to much with the tail chopped and look a bit silly.

Any info/pics would be great.

Thanks in advance

IMO, they will look very long after a chop.

Some people end up chopping the cans too. That usually looks great.

even if i allow for the number plate to ad a further 2-4inches (because of moutning and the slanted angle) i am of the opinion it might be in line with the pipes or close to.

I really want to get rid of the beer tray and tidy it up on the rear.

Any photos with tail chop and termis would be great

Your best way of checking things out is to do a little search here in Acc & Mods and you'll find all manner of things.

Thanks matty. I was searching for a good few hours on the net but didnt find any s4r's with the chop or termis. I came across CairnsDuc's pic on the homepage and he promptly messaged me a link to his tutorial here http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=19650.0 which included a side on pic further down the page.

It ha put my worries to rest. I think it looks great. Im going to do it :)

Thanks again CairnsDuc and to all the forum member who have been so helpful in my few days here.

Searching for "CHOPPED CANS" seems to bring up more posts than I can remember.  I've done mine (back when I had a termi), many others have done them as well.

I think your avatar shows a desmoquattro, so here's a pic of my bike several years ago when I was running Termis:
