"Harley Davidsons are BAD.   I have a Harley Davidson.   That makes me BAD!"

Of course, there is no attitude about Ducatis among the owners now, is there?

Have you actually read this thread?  laughingdp

Why does a bikes turning ability matter?

I want to get a decal printed up in the same Ducati font and size, to replace the decal on the fuel tank, but have it say "DOUCHE" instead...

Huh?  Do you really, for real?   For your own tank, or to sell to others?

I love "Point out locations along the route designed to highlight particular features of the bike so they can focus on the performance of the bike."

And also, "Keep distances short, 8-10 miles"  Truthfully this is probably going to be the case on most test rides, but reinforces the stereotype of not actually riding too much  Grin

Maybe they should just do this and let you drive around in your car getting the attention and "nice bikes"  laughingdp

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

As far as HD, I would consider owning a VRod.  That's about the only one that I *really* like.  Most VRod owners are more sport bike crowd types it seems from those I have encountered ~

JM

+1 but for the Nightrod.

Harley ownership is a lifestyle, they say that about over-the-road truck drivers too.  laughingdp

I used to wonder why the large majority of riders typically wave on the road BUT them, maybe it is a steering thing?

Funny how in many parts of the country the Ducati has the reputation of being a poser bike (just like an HD). Here in Nashville, no one seems to give a crap about my bike, the noise it makes, or me for that matter.

The HD crowd thinks I am a squid. The Jap bike crowd thinks I am an old guy with an expensive bike (mine really isn't that expensive).

I am way over the "don't wave back" thing from the Harley crowd. My new motto: First wave, then finger.
