...now stands at two Trial by Declarations and two court appearances--won/got out of them all.  I hope those hosers enjoyed the $275 loan I gave them, because they're giving me a refund in 6-8 weeks.  Boo-ya.

My officer didn't show up for the trial today.  In fact, there were about four officers for the entire Dept.  Maybe that's the norm--maybe they're spread really thin right now--who knows.  Most of us in that court got dismissals today.

Oakland PD? or CHP? I suspect they're both getting ready for the riots.

SF.  That may be the case.  One of the officers heading in said that he was working BART stations all week.

Congrats, belle.  That's great news!  Was this the 80 in a 50 on the Bay Bridge (thought that was CHP)?  You got out of your "riding in the parking lane" one already, right?  So which one was this?

Yup.  They're prepped for the Mesherle verdict (which won't come today).  SFPD is on twelve hour shifts and you can bet that pretty much none of them are going to court for traffic tickets.

That case is costing Oakland and SF a shit-ton of $.

So when we ridin'?  Now that I'm a free woman I plan on breaking many laws again, perhaps more than one at a time.

Oh, and get this:  I just discovered as of yesterday that I had Enzo's registration slip with me at the time that I got cited and not mine.  We both have 1994 Ducati Monsters and they're both registered in his name...I guess I just figured that they'd be able to check on that sort of stuff a bit more carefully.  Had I really been on the ball I bet I could have gotten out of the fricken ticket that way too--wrong VIN was on the citation.

My next ticket will be a trial by declaration and I plan on typing out at least 12 pages of the bible and some of my favorite recipes as part of my defense.  Figure if I act crazy enough that they'll leave me alone--you'd think having to actually deal with me in person as they're writing the ticket would be ample proof of my "issues"...  Oh, and I actually have three TBD's that I've won.  Forgot about another.

I dunno about that.   laughingdp  I hear that some businesses in Oakland are boarded up, getting ready for the aftermath of the verdict.  It's pretty disgusting.  No bad vibes your way for saying that--I'm just saddened at the situation.

Wow...I'm having quite a streak of good luck lately.  Today I finally got my deposit returned from a roofer that didn't fulfill his obligations.  I had gone as far as filing a small claims case against him.  My trial was set for November and I was having trouble getting him served--my refund check came in the mail today!

I hope I can get as lucky, but what would my defense be for crossing a DY near Tomales Bay? And I have a feeling he would show up just because I ride a Duc and he rides a 'busa.
