"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Think of all of the perefectly good pieces of metal that were condemned to a life of existing as part of that "motorcycle".  That is a fate worse than the crusher.

At least the monkey and cat enjoyed themselves...

At first I saw this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MV-Agusta-F4-750-Incredible-show-winning-custom-bike-/220957479123?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item33721790d3

and was slightly depressed by seeing another overly-blinged obnoxious show pony of a bike.  Then I read the description.  The bike is in the UK!! It is an "award winner" in Europe!  Deep down I knew otherwise, but Ihave long worried that such tacky taste was unique to American shores.  Now I know that people in the UK also have gaudy bikes that they think are worth a fortune. I am greatly comforted by this fact.
