as i was saying... Wink

the promise of the 2011 bike is how they got the mole to sign up.  ...nevermind that the 2010 bike nearly killed him in the interim.

Hasn't Kawasaki made big promises about huge changes in the past?  Maybe I'm dreaming it, but it seems like I've heard this story before.  I hope it's true this time.
Check out the new issue of Motorcyclist. If it happens, the new Kawa sounds pretty impressive.

That just seems weird.  Even if the 2011 Kawi is killer, they'll need almost a full season to get data for the bike, work on the electronics and dial it in.  So it's really a three year process.  2010 on a shitty bike, 2011 on a--hopefully--good but new bike and 2012 on a developed bike.

And don't come back and say how the new R1 won last year in its first year.  The Ben won last year despite the development problems with that bike.

Biaggi did pretty well in the first year of the RSV4. He didn't win...but he did WAY better than any KAWI has recently!

Yeah, but that priller was still struggling with development issues last year despite being pretty damn amazing out of the box.  Like you'd expect, this year (the second year) they have it sorted out and it's kickin' ass (<yawn>).  And Aprilia probably has a better race development team than Kawi b/c of all their GP work despite the fact that Kawi is much larger.

Maybe the fact that the Kawi is a new generation rather than a new model entirely will speed up the development of the race bike?  But I'd bet that it won't really be developed until 2012.

he was faster than nearly everyone on day 0, riding haga's 2008 bike.  Grin

kawi.. it ought to be evolution for them as far as race dev.  ..not that that they don't have a lot of ground to cover in the race dev dept.

Big-bang engine, with some new tech to keep it smooth at lower rpm. Also adjustable traction control on the street version.
