I'd agree if he hadn't just taken it in the ass from the italian tax authorities like he just did recently...
I don't have a lot of sympathy for guys that make millions riding motorcycles for a living and cry when the tax man calls.
Did he lose his villa or something?
Wife can't afford skin cream?

Agreed. None of us like paying taxes, but it's hard to feel sorry for someone with that many zeros in the bank account.

evidently the aussie authorities are not as hip to the "i live in monaco" story as the italians

Casey has lived in
Italy
England since he was
like 13 or 14
16 yo, his family moved there so he could follow a racing career -- Oz would be hard pressed to say he owes taxes given he's never lived there as an adult.
From his bio:
Quote
Casey could not legally road race in Australia until he was 16, but had decided he was ready for the challenge. So the decision was made to move to England where Casey was already of legal age to race. A big risk to take, but it paid off.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
