So Sunday I'm riding home after a great day of  [moto].

Nice winding roads over hilly country  [moto].

Getting close to home now  [moto].

I'm approaching a long, sweeping right-hander (remember we drive on the left Down Here), a right-hander that curves up a fairly steep hill.....  [moto]

And I can see it looming down the hill towards me.  Really fast.   Shocked.

High speed B-Double cattle truck, tyres surely at the limit of adhesion.  Hey but I'm in control.  Alert but not completely alarmed  Wink.  Truck zooms past me - as it should on my right.  So nope, all's well, I didnt shit myself.  Cool

I didnt need to.

The truck was obviously laden.  Coz as it drew level with me I got covered in cow shit.  I mean  c o v e r e d  .  Sprayed like it was comin' from a fire hose.  First I needed to clear my visor  vomit, second needed to steady the bike on the shit-slick now covering my side of the road surface.  Lips Sealed

My leathers still stink.  I guess the cows got revenge.  laughingdp

Befestulated by a cattle carrier.... applause applause applause I applaud your presence of mind and good sense in your decision not to turn around and pursue the offending vehicle

In the last couple of weeks I have been stuck behind a garbage truck, a dump truck carrying fresh asphalt, and big rig hauling pigs....I did not get any on me. Thank you for the new perspective.  Wink

Wow.. wow - yuck.

The smell of hot Turkey farms last week was enough for me... Can't imagine being coated in it...

Obviously not.  Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes?

That would suck but things could have been a lot worse.
Yup. A lot worse indeed.

Not presence of mind.  I was just so relieved (not as relieved at the cows, obviously) that my Close Encounter of the Turd Kind proceeded without collision, lasting injury or me joining the "bringout yer dead" roll-call, that a mere shit-shower seemed like icing on the cake of survival.  Never even entered my head to offer shit-hot pursuit.

German cows are innovative too.  I'd carry coconuts when you next ride, for protection.  Grin
