loose grips

I got heated grips for my 05 Monster 620Dark last Christmas and mounted them on my handlebars (I have Cyclecat Clip-ons) add they originally were a little loose on the bars, but lately the one on the right has really started to be a huge problem. The grip slides around quite a bit on the plastic throttle tube on the handle. Is there a way that I can make the grips fit better? I have thought about taking them off and using some sort of glue, but I do want to be able to replace them eventually as I ride year-round and will wear them out eventually.

Take the grip/s off and spray some hair spray (try to get the super hold stuff) onto the bar and inside the grip and slide them back on very quickly before the hairspray has a chance to dry.
The hairspray also acts like a lube to get them back on easy.
Leave for a couple of hours or so to let it dry and it should stick fine. If you need to get them off at a later date you can so a bit easier than if they where glued on with grip glue. (know from experience)

Only other option is to buy new grips or glue the bastards on.

I use PlioBond, it's the only stuff I've found that holds 'em on reliably but is still removable.

+2 on Safetywire. easier when u swap bars or grips. Grips you will swap if you ride your bike. they wear out eventually.

Safety wire, i have not hear of this one before now, can you fill me in???

I use 2 o the grooves. They have not moved at all in the 2 years I've had them on.

+1 on hair spray and safety wire.  Don't get nuts tightening the safety wire down as you don't want to cut the heating elements.  Rubber cement is also a good adhesive for grips.  Let whatever adhesive you use set for 24 hours before you safety wire.
