Unfortunately this is my first posting, but I figured this would be my best shot to properly fix my bike with out screwing it up.

(Not the important part)
The Story---I live in NYC (its like a deathtrap for motorcycles) and I got caught in bad rain before I could get home. So I parked my bike by work near Grand Central. Anyways I came back outside a few hours later and the bike was on its side leaking gas. Long story short I had it towed back to my place. I removed the gas tank so that I could attempt to fix the leak myself (being that I dont have $800 for a new one). The leak was coming from somewhere underneath the hinge that is welded on. So I decided to get a gas tank sealer (kind of a putty material) and patch the whole thing. So far the leak seems to be gone. My only issue now is putting the tank back on.

(The important part)
Issue-Properly putting the tank back on. So like a fool I didnt mark down what connected to what. There are only 4 hoses and 4 holes, 2 of which dont connect to anything so what I need to figure out is which hose connects to the left and which one connects to the right (in the picture it looks more like which one on the top and which one on the bottom). My other question is should I completely empty the tank before I put it back on, I have a little gas in side of it. Basically, is there anything im not aware of that I should be pre-cautious about?

If there is a link for this please let me know. I am sorry if this is a derby, I just couldnt search anything for it.

Also, iam always looking for upgrades for the bike so if you have any (or a new tank lol) feel free to let me know

Thanks for your help.

I couldn't upload the picture (new to the site) so here is a link. If it doesnt work let me know and I will email you

Just hook them up.

If it doesn't run switch them. ;)

You could follow them down to the throttle bodies.

The one that comes off the pressure regulator to the tank is the return.

BTW not everyone is a member on facebook.

I can't see your pics.

how do i upload pictures?

Lots of sites you can use, personally I like Flickr.  Create a free account, upload your  pics, under the 'ACTIONS' button is 'view all sizes' you can select an appropriately sized image for a forum (usually 500px wide), right click on the picture and copy the URL.

In your post on the forum, it will look like this:

Ah, sweet.  However, Flickr has changed their interface since then so it needs to be updated.  [thumbsup]

Alright, the Tank is back on.

The good news is the leak is fixed

The bad news is It won't start now (and the battery is not dead)

Any ideas or suggestions of things for me to try? I didn't do anything except hook the tank back up and put gas into it and try and start it.
