Can you take a magnet and check to see if your rear subframe halves are steel or aluminum. also, can you take a picture of the back of the bike with the seat off? thank you. that is all ![Wink](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/wink.gif)

Aluminum. I can try to get a pic later, but it looks almost exactly like an 1100... Something specific you're looking for?

ok grab handles arrived. 796 is different than 696. there is a new mounting point at the very end of the 796 subframes that is NOT on the 696. ![bang head](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/banghead.gif)

..And I was literally coming back from the parking lot to post a picture for you. Sorry about that. It's probably more like the 1100 than the 696, most of the rest of the back end is.

would you mind running out and taking a couple more. I need to see the underside of the back of the subframe. basically the end of the aluminum castings.
trying to figure out how many holes are on the underside of those castings

I'll see what i can do in the morning, but most of that area is covered by the tail (or in my case, the tail chop)

Part numbers for the 696 and 1100 frames are the same, so they must have done something different with the 796 if the grab handles don't mount the same.

here's the underside - in this picture, the left blinker is at the top of the frame. Hope this helps. ![](http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f337/clownburner/photo-1.jpg)
