also, i thought you guys might be interested to know that I found the rollers I need for the quarter window.

they are $70 and comes on the bracket.

the bracket in question is the part that attached the window to the arm that lowers and raises the window.

the rollers also have to load onto the track from the bottom.

now i have to get the window off and figure out how i'll ever manage to do this without all of you watching, giggling, and offering such sage advise as "you should get that fixed."

i'll get kath to take pics of me sweating my ass off and breaking things for your amusement.

He performs well but tends to get cranky.

I'll try my best to be involved with the track day next year.

I bet if you found an old time parts guy he'd walk to the bin where they keep those rollers from an old model when they were available separately.

Too true.

The idea of paying 70 bucks for those plastic rollers is stupid.

I bet the guy that looked it up didn't see the note where the rollers are sold separately, or he figured Trav was an easy mark.

the "guys" looking it up are mostly wet behind the ears kids who look at their poorly modified Civic as the pinnacle of performance. They don't know what they are looking for.

it's not jsut for the rollers.
it's for the entire bracket. apparently the rollers are riveted to the bracket.

I will have to pull everything from the motor to the window to replace the bracket that mounbts the window to the arm off the motor.

i appreciate any help though. it's a 97 celica gt convertible.

I'll talk to my buddy at the Toyo dealer to see if there's a cheaper way out.
