there is a scottish joint around here that serves American and Irish Food.

Nothing on the menu is Scottish.

They pride themselves on Ruebens which isn't Scottish at all.

I think it was "invented" by a jewish man of german descent, but don't quote me on that.

Actual true story:

My brother went to med school (first 2 years) in Grand Cayman at a British University and did his rotations stateside.

He went to Cuba for 4 days and visited the Cohiba factory and bought a box.

He sent them via FedEx next day back to me. Customs opened them and slit 4 of them with a razor blade, but allowed the delivery to me to take place.

They were awful.

I used to work in a cigar shop and still occasionally pick up shifts when asked by the owner (who opened his own shop when he left the one where we all worked at) and I gave everyone a stick.

Everyone was severely disappointed in the overall quality.

This was about five years ago.


Did they get their act together and start rolling decent sticks again?

I don't see the premium in cuban cigars, so no........I've never looked.


I think there are just as well made cigars by other manufacturers.
