Great thread...I love me some nice boots.   [thumbsup]

Working construction I wear Rocky's.

Working with horses I wear Ariat.  On horse, I wear custom Effinghams (damn wide calfs).

Both pair of my  [moto] boots are Sidi's.

I have been wanting to pick up a nice pair of cowboy/roper boots for a few years.  Have yet to find a pair that I can't live without.  I gonna keep looking till I do.

I've got myself a nice pair of Redwing Iron Rangers. Not a work boot persay, they're in their "lifestyle" collection. Flat leather sole on the bottom, cut from an old pattern. Cap toe as well. Love them. Took 3 months to break in properly though. Love them now. Absolutely love them. Miss wearing them... too hot in the summer.

For work; 5.11 ATAC 9". Good strong boot that's light enough to wear all day, and I like the side zipper.
Wet winter weather; Redhead RH2200 12". Totally waterproof, and warm warm warm.

Nicks Hotshot boot. I always use the 14" upper for better calf support while hiking the mountains. and leather laces, of course. [thumbsup]

Mother has had his LaCrosse Wildland Fire boots for over five years and has used them for just about everything (duty boot, wildland boot, EMT boot, moto boot). They are just now needing to be resoled.

I like my Danner duty boot for responding to calls. I use Ariat for working horses too DD.

Italy is shaped like a boot.
Ducati comes from Italy.
Ducati comes from boot?

Why is Italy shaped like a boot?

'Cause they couldn't fit that much shit in a shoe.

Thank you, I'll be here all night.  ;D

Sorry to all the Italians, I don't really mean what I say, I love Italians.

They are made by danner now

danner quality dropped off about 6 years ago when they got rid of their lifetime warranty

but I still like em

they aren't whites but they are good enough for what I do and I figure 7 years per pair is worth the 300 bucks

For hiking boots, I have a few friends who love their Limmer's.  They offer both stock and custom fit.  I haven't tried them personally, but am about ready for a new pair and plan to check them out.  They are a New Hampshire company, but I think stock boots are outsourced.
