we used to fly-cast for Bats over the swimming pool up at my Aunt's farm when we were brainless kids   :o

it is very hard.... they wouldn't take the bait...... but not for lack of us trying...

my cousin did foul-hook one once...... and that was a mad minute...

we all ran screaming like little girls and left him to deal with it

I never saw that boy crank a reel handle that fast in my life

it pulled free before he got it to the pole tip

do a search on fly fishing for bats...there are stories out there on the web

guess we weren't so unique in our idiocy
