Swapping guts on forks from adjustable Showa into Marzocchi?

This may be a ridiculous question.

I have a set of non adjustable marzocchis

I have access to a bunged up set of adjustable showas -- he'll send them to me but I don't have them on hand.

Possible to use the unbent tubes on the marzocchis? 

Actually, this question should be, can I remove the guts on the Showas to make the Marzocchis adjustable?

measure the leg and outer tube and see if the top nut threads into it.
then take the cartridges apart and measure them, for travel and od.
never tried it on this specific models but I do that alot with other model forks, you might get lucky!!!!
