I bought a GoPro Video Camera to video some rides .

After I got it I'm wondering if it will stay suctioned on top of my Helmet while riding or those who have successfully used one , where is or how is the best way to attach one for aggressive riding ?

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

That sounds like a pretty good idea Jerry.

I'll see if that will work better than BP's suggestion.

Strap mount on the chest (not moving much, as your head would)
Front fender (low down makes cool videos)
Seat cowl (either direction makes interesting images)
By the radiator (includes the fork action)

Just don't mount it on top of the tank, including the speedo, it might be used as evidence  [bang] (has happened here)

Thanks for that info. Lars, especially about the speedo.

a Gopro lens does not rotate (AFAIK), so if you mount the camera in any position other than straight up, your images will be tilted. In Movie maker you can rotate your down loaded images but only 1/4 turns so most Gopro users mount the camera on the vertical or use the angle attachment..... and most do not trust the suction cup attachment on anything less than a really flat surface. playing with camera angles  is fun so mount it anywhere you think the view would be cool.

I purchased a Drift camera just so I could rotate the lens.

There is a special curved sticky plate for helmets and the suction cup sucks on monsters since theres very few places it will fit. (too much curvature on the helmet and msot parts of the tank. Alternative = keep it on the bike.

heres mine, its kinda jacked to the right cause i was trying to get the memory card out. but its very easy to access.

hmm i still have some tape from my previous trackday!!!

Airborne

Get the gopro tripod 1/4 20 adapter and a manfrotto super clamp

I use these on rocket sleds at work, 200mph, no problems.

I've seen some suggestions that a lanyard is a good idea just in case the mount comes loose.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
