I've just got to laugh, no other way around it.
Fitting 999r ohlins forks to the monster. Sold the 1098 setup, but before it's gone I better get the bars done....you know, the bars that go around the forks caps to clear them.
So I'm checking my work, thinking it looks pretty good. Using the stock bars to see/compare the sweep back/angles.....then I look at the ohlins forks. make the beast with two backs.
The ohlins forks don't have fork caps that stick out till they hit the moon....they only protrude about 1/2".....which means the bars I made from aluminum (that were junk), and now the bars I've made from 4130 (chromoly) are completely pointless.....the stock bars, turned upside down are nearly the same.
Nothing like wasting 200$ and a day worth of screwing around to find out you already have what you need.
