flashing lights after turning bike off

Came home last night and noticed that after shutting the bike off and removing the key, the headlamp flashed once and the blinkers flashed in some sort of sequence then stopped.  I didn't pay close enough attention the first time and turned the ignition on again then off and it did it again.  Can someone help on this one?
Hopefully it's not indicating anything dire.
Forgot to mention.  '05 S2R 800, 25k miles.

Given the electronics, I wouldn't think that would be possible with out there being a major short somewhere (i have to double check the schematics now), but you'd probably notice a short.

Any relevant mods?

Funny my project S2R1K does this too.  It runs absolutely flawless otherwise.  It is coming apart again so time to check the wiring.
