All the Ducati's made the 1290SDR possible!

« on: August 24, 2010, 09:10:20 PM »

The motorcycle tales twist & turn taking on ironies that only seem fit for movies or novels.

The whole story of Brandon's travails interacts with this story and almost can't be told over a forum thread but sometime maybe we'll try. It's the kind of stuff best told over a few beers and more.

I found this and BME (the shop that I work for) ended up buying it today.

WHAT IS IT?

BINGO!

2003 R1100S Boxer Cup Replika

#37 of only 200 produced worldwide that year.

1600 miles and it's perfect --- cherry-bo-berry!!

Boss-ski loves it.

I'll post more pics later.

My thoughts exactly.  What I'd really like from 2003 is a 998FE.

But..... back to the Boxer Cup ......... more tidbits

Brutey, piggish looking things they are, but cool nonetheless.

Quite true. A Honda RC51 is svelte by comparison.  laughingdp  The pictures don't quite do it justice and once you start looking at all the little details all you can say is wow. Still, there is a reason why they never caught on big time and it wasn't just a cost factor.

I reckon I'll be there around 12 noon to 3. I might be there sooner depending on when the cable guy gets here to change out the DVR in the morning.
