Twenty years ago Stevie Ray Vaughan was taken from this world far too early in a tragic helicopter accident following a concert with Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, and his brother Jimmie.

His incredible music lives on forever!

Used to see SRV at Antone's in Austin when I lived there in the day. Wish I had his Austin City Limits performances on DVD. Just sent a "20 year notice" email to my friends last night. I'll be listening to my well worn CDs today for sure!! One of my all time favorite musicians... ever!

Sept. 18 will be the 40th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix's death. My other fav!! [thumbsup] [bow_down]

Man- 20 years already! He was just hitting his peak, I think. Imagine where he'd be now.

(Fastwin- if your CD's are well worn, you better check your CD player!  ;D)

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I was at Alpine Valley the week before he died, attending a WHO concert.  The fog was most widespread and dense I have ever experienced (meterological fog - not the other kind)   The conditions were similar  that fateful night also.  Sad deal.

This isn't a dress rehearsal for life - this is it!

I didn't mean to crap anyone out.

We can always celebrate his music, his legacy, and those he has inspired to make great music.

Grab one of his CDs, download some of his tunes and get lost in the music!

I was just thinking the other day about great musicians that were taken way too early and I really wished that Jeff Buckley was still around.  :'(

Amongst many others that I may have forgotten.  :'(
I like a drink. You know when people say 'I like a drink as much as the next man'? Not if I'm the next man, you don't.
