I was riding for about 2 hours, when I notice

the gas light came on and then it died. Not sure if it's related. Now the oil light is on and the gas light. When I hit the start button it clicks and the gas light goes away, but it does not start. Fellow jap bike stop to help push start pop the clutch, but it start for a bit and died. On the side of the road now, need help. Boston area, 832-283-2376 henry

you ran out of fuel

i mean not trying to be mean but sounds like you need fuel

with a carb bike, switch to the reserve

with a FI bike... the system needs to pressure itself again even after you add fuel

anyone else with input?

AfroStar

I can def try that, but for me when the light comes on, there's, about 22 miles left. I think my s4rs is a fuel injected. I'll call someone to bring me fuel, just in case, other ideas?  Thanks btw. :)

Vapor lock?  It generally doesn't happen with a fuel injected bike but if you were running hot and ran low on fuel....maybe.

Raux

ok for sure you're FI

2 hrs on 1 tank of fuel sounds long to me.

let us know if the fuel helps.

Correction, oil light and check engine light are on, a click noise sounds when I hit start. :(

Do you hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key on?

Can you get a jump start?

I'd put fuel in also. Fuel senders fail all the time.

oh more serious then

did it just die? no serious wierd noises right? can you see your timing belts?
how new is your battery? I've read when they are weak the bike can die. does your bike show you voltage?
you have oil in it? check for leaks and the sight glass.

probably better you call for a flatbed instead of trying to diagnose on the side of the road.

there are local guys in MA, (I'm in germany so no help)

If it isn't turning, you might need jumper cables from another vehicle. Bad battery?

When my bike runs out of fuel, I lean it over as far as I can hold it for 10-20 seconds with the ignition on. That makes the low fuel sensor think there's gas and will allow fire up. Your tank is not empty when the bike stops, it shuts down to avoid damage by too much air.

Put gas in and jump the bike with the car shut off.

Make certain you don't reverse the connections. Red to red...black to black.

Can you receive pms on your phone?
