Thanks Nori.
Ben broke his will last year, like Rossi did to Sete Gibernau...actually I think it's the bike, 'cause Fabrizio's not doing very well either...

They will probably spend the savings on new product development, the MotoGP bikes and their new rider. It might also be a power play to get FIM to change some rules in their favor.

letting twins go past 1200cc? more engine dev for twins vs. multis? non-ducati riders must race with lead boots?

They've been penalizing them by making them run heavier weights & throttle plate restrictors.

No twins in MotoGP. They're all fours, and Yamaha is the only mark using an inline...

No restrictions or requirements on number of cylinders in MotoGP. Bikes have to be prototypes and cannot share any parts from production bikes. The rules that govern that might be amended soon, possibly, or so I have come to believe from something, somewhere.

Nevermind confused and/or drunk.......you did read a rule in there. If the twins won enough times to upset the balance of things, and that happened last year, they were required to add weight. It was the addition of weight and throttle plate restrictors that were supposed to be the equalizers for having the additional displacement. Yada yada yada. Except for the efforts of the satellite teams Ducati would have sucked this year. Wait, they do suck this year. Hmmm. Maybe they might go away and pout until the rules get changed.

Probably Ducati just didn't see any merit in spending a lot of cash in WSBK as they're not competitive right now and rather spend the money in MotoGP and development of the superquadrata, which they will use in 2012 WSBK.

Welcome to our little corner IdZer0. A little out of the way from your home turf, but still welcome none the less. Just don't tease us with great riding roads or great local beers. LOL.
