I'm currently 'cleaning up' my monster and removing as much unnessecary stuff as possible. I've searched through the tech section and there seems to be a fair bit of conjecture about possible problems with getting rid of the whole crankcase breather setup and installing a small directly onto the case. I'm after a local perspective, has anyone done this mod and has there been any problems?? I don't plan on pulling sustained wheelies so oil running out through the filter shouldn't be an issue ![Grin](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/grin.gif)

Done it, no problems at all. Got the TPO kit which works a treat. ![waytogo](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/waytogo.gif) If you look in the More Bling thread you'll find Jukie has just done the same thing.

I removed the Tank on my S2R, and never had any problems, I kept all the pipes and the Tank just in case something didn't work out, but it worked fine. If you are placing an order from TPO also order the Regulator relocation kit (If I remember they tell you to order it to get everything to fit correctly) Ducati put the Regulator in the worst place, using the reg relocation kit gets it out from under the seat and lets the air get to it. So order one of these: http://www.tpoparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=25_28&products_id=53When you order one of these: http://www.tpoparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=31I positioned my Regulator a little different to what they show in the instructions, mine was running across the bike not length ways as they show in the instructions, and also ensure BOTH ENDS of the Regulator are bolted down, as the Regulator earths through it's securing bolts as well as through the Cables. And don't worry about water splashing on the Regulator, they are water proof. ![waytogo](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/waytogo.gif)

Silly question (i have loads of them! ![Smiley](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/smiley.gif) ) BUT........ Its one Stack per cyclinder not one Stack per Valve? With the TPO kit, can you put the K&N pod air filter on the 4V version?

As I regularly ride in the wet to bloody torrential, Has anyone experienced any water ingestion through the filter?? ![Huh?](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/huh.gif) Love the repositioning of the regulator though! ![waytogo](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/waytogo.gif)

The filter is impregnated with filter oil, so it's (relatively) watertight.

Good link Mr S2r. I so want one of of those kits. :'( It's not so uncommon to put an extended breather hose on the crank case with a KN filter. There are various other places to mount the filter. Also prevents the possibility of oil pissing out of the crank case filter on to the rear wheel on certain riding angles. ![Grin](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/grin.gif)

Was thinking zackly along those lines Rob!! Extending the hose from the crankcase and stowing the filter a little more out of the way of the elements!! ![waytogo](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/waytogo.gif)
