Much cheaper alternative, no personal FHE as hair loss is not in my inventory of issues....

if you elect to pursue this form of treatment I might suggest you avoid dining on asparagus prior to applying

It makes your piss stink like rotting death...so if you have a hated boss or co-worker

you can consider marking his or her office after consuming copious amounts of asparagus

when working late into the evening

I had a dog that like grilled asparagus...

but then he'd get all confused when he marked his territory

kept going back trying to re-mark where he went

from wikipedia

The effect of eating asparagus on the eater's urine has long been observed:
"[Asparagus] cause a filthy and disagreeable smell in the urine, as everybody knows." (Treatise of All Sorts of Foods Louis Lemery, 1702)[24]
"asparagus... affects the urine with a foetid smell (especially if cut when they are white) and therefore have been suspected by some physicians as not friendly to the kidneys; when they are older, and begin to ramify, they lose this quality; but then they are not so agreeable" ("An Essay Concerning the Nature of Aliments," John Arbuthnot, 1735)[25]
Asparagus "...transforms my chamber-pot into a flask of perfume." Marcel Proust (1871â€"1922) [26]
There is debate about whether all (or only some) people produce the smell, and whether all (or only some) people identify the smell. It was originally thought this was because some of the population digested asparagus differently than others, so that some people excreted odorous urine after eating asparagus, and others did not. However, in the 1980s three studies from France,[27] China and Israel published results showing that producing odorous urine from asparagus was a universal human characteristic. The Israeli study found that from their 307 subjects all of those who could smell 'asparagus urine' could detect it in the urine of anyone who had eaten asparagus, even if the person who produced it could not detect it himself.[28] Thus, it is now believed that most people produce the odorous compounds after eating asparagus, but only about 22% of the population have the autosomal genes required to smell them.[29][30][31]
[edit]Chemistry

Asparagus foliage turns bright yellow in autumn
Certain compounds in asparagus are metabolized giving urine a distinctive smell due to various sulfur-containing degradation products, including various thiols, thioesters, and ammonia.[32]
The volatile organic compounds responsible for the smell are identified as:[33][34]
methanethiol,
dimethyl sulfide,
dimethyl disulfide,
bis(methylthio)methane,
dimethyl sulfoxide, and
dimethyl sulfone.
Subjectively, the first two are the most pungent, while the last two (sulfur-oxidized) give a sweet aroma. A mixture of these compounds form a "reconstituted asparagus urine" odor. This was first investigated in 1891 by Marceli Nencki, who attributed the smell to methanethiol.[35] These compounds originate in the asparagus as asparagusic acid and its derivatives, as these are the only sulfur-containing compounds unique to asparagus. As these are more present in young asparagus, this accords with the observation that the smell is more pronounced after eating young asparagus. The biological mechanism for the production of these compounds is less clear.[citation needed]
The onset of the asparagus urine smell is remarkably rapid. It has been estimated to start 15 to 30 minutes after ingestion.[36][37]

Ha.....The only way to generate fewer honest replies would be asking a similar question about FHE about the effectiveness of Viagra...  FWIW, my friend says Viagra is awesome.   [thumbsup]

I think question is a kin to asking if Extenze works, none want to admit they've used it.

A friend of mine told me his coworkers was using it and did regain growth in the areas he was thinning.

Hell, I'm using it now.  My job stresses the shit out of me from morning to night.  Only been a few months so nothing to report on, and it's more of a preventative thing, but I definitely had more hair 4 years ago when I first got into post-audio.

To look at me I doubt you would even notice that the hair is lost.

My hair is very thick but it fell out in the front of my forehead so my hairline is just a little more recessed than I would like.

No cue ball for me !

Just questions of curiosity, (yes, I'm slowly revealing that solar panel for a sex machine; not that I need it!)  ;D  what happens if one takes Rogaine or any other such product for a while as directed, have the hair re-grow, then stop taking it ...

Does the hair once again recede at the pace it was before? Or, if it does recede, does it do so at a more rapid pace? Does the renewed hair stay? And if I take it again after stopping for a period of time, is Rogaine still effective?  ???

I seriously considered it (a couple of friends swear by the alternative in Nioxin), but I'd hate to think I have to be super-committed to applying it everyday or whatever the directions say.
