Damn...I was really just asking if you were serious.  Never seen a thread about it before.  My bad.  Woulda thought it would be in riding technique.

True.  I just hadn't seen posts along the lines of just asking about modding for wheelies specifically.  Really didn't give it any thought.  To contribute though, I would focus more on body positioning first.  Sitting back in the saddle has been mentioned and I think that is valid.  Also, as I'm sure you know, be careful.

I was advised by a Motowheels employee that, as the 696 forks are incredibly weak, wheelies will mess your sh!t up big time.  Possibly with a 1098 or whatever fork swap, but why do wheelies anyways?  A 696 is a bit expensive (and nice) to thrash...
I don't own a Ducati...but I wrench on one.

two weeks ago went on a ride with a couple of guys that have 1100-1100s
and loved the way they were just lifting the front tire coming out of turns and taking off.

i just want to be able to  get 3-6 inches off the ground , maybe is the kid in me

maybe is the kid in those moto gp guys when they win a race, and they wheelie for 10-15 sec

Seriously? This is why I could never be a Mod. Can you say suspension? I bet you can.
I've been wallowing in my own chaotic and insecure delusions.

Meh-it can't be that nice if it won't hold up to a wheelie. It's s'posed to be a hooligan bike-where's Moike? He apparently rides his down stairs.

OP, best thing to learn to wheelie on, is really, a bicycle.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

is anyone riding with a 47t rear?

I was thinking of  going for it,
if it can bring the front tire up by just smashing the throttle.

Kopfjager

There is no replacement for displacement.  ;)

I dont think its going to just loft that easily under power with anything near stock.

ok guys  got it   ;D

practice for a couple hours in a parking lot,
but instead of just using throttle i used both clutch and throttle

1 gear
4500-5000 rpms
let go clutch and hit throttle at the same time
stay on the throttle for about 2-3 seconds

and front tire comes up very nice

about 4-8 inches off ground

MODS I recommend are
shorter levers
and 14t front sprocket
