New to PCIII. Need ADVICES!!

My bike is S4R (2003) with Remus Exhaust Full System (L+R type) + K&N + PCIII. Exhaust & PCIII were bought from our member here. Now exhaust was promptly installed on my bike, and ran almost fine with a little lean problem (some popings at low rpm and low speed).

Without any trimming by VDST, I decided to try installing PCIII which came together with exhaust to see whether poping is fixed. But I found the rpm was not that smooth and below the range 1250rpm +/- during first few mins. But once I ran the bike for few miles and stopped to see the idle rpm, it was back to normal range and smooth. Do you think it's ok? It just gave me a tiny wonder why it wasn't smooth at the first period.

Questions are :
  1)  From those info, does it sound OK for my bike?
  2)  Usually after installation of exhaust & PCIII, what should I do next?
  3)  I notice there are 3 buttons on PCIII (LOW, MID, HIGH). I have no idea what those are for 'coz I'm totally new to it. Please advise

1) Was the PCIII preloaded with a map?
2) Start working on getting a map that will work for YOUR bike.
3) ... (I don't mess with them as i have a custom map.)

Seem like it has a preloaded map inside. However, I still need to try more maps that match my bike. Would you mind to advise where I can get the maps. I visited PCIII website but still can't find the one exactly match mine.

You must make sure all base settings are correct before tuning with a PC, valves, TPS, cylinder balance and valve timing.

Yeah well the PC website doesn't have a map for every bike and exhaust combo.  In other words its not exhaustive  .  Anways, find the map that is closest to your bike and exhaust.  The best thing to do would be to get a custom map which may or may not be worth the money.  Just depends how badly you want a map that is just for your bike only.

I've been nothing but disappointed with my pc3.  I have the local expert dealing with it now.  The canned maps on the website are bs.  I've never met anyone whose bike they have worked with.  The buttons on the unit itself are a joke.

If one does not get it dyno tuned, then yeah, in most cases disappointment follows.
