To make a long story short:

Do a M750 00 frame fit on a M1000 03???

Please say yes [roll] otherwise I have done a very expensive bummer.... :( :(

It should.

You'll probably have to enlarge the motor mount holes for the 12mm bolts.

Thanks [clap] [clap] You are my best friend tonight ;D

I just read some road tests on the web, and suddenly I got my popcorn in my troat when reading that the 03M1000 had a new stronger frame(30%) bla bla. Then my idea of importing a 1000 to upgrade my old 750 did't sound so smart after all [roll] [roll]

They changed the frame in '02 on all the bikes.

I'd be interested to see the article that says the '03 1K frame was stronger.

Engine will swap right in once the frame holes are enlarged.

I like the older frame better -- gastank/seat as well.  If you do the M1000 engine swap, just go Pod Filters.  Reason: I'd weld a small brace between the frame tubes and steerer tube as a "gusset" to make stronger.  Money saved could be spent on lighter wheels or aluminum swingarm then in comparison to your 750 parts now.

Engine is ok, but the rest off the parts? My plan is to use only the frame from the 750 and all the rest form the 1000. Will tank, fork etc fit straight on?

knowbody knows if the rest off the parts from the 1000 will fit on my 750 frame?

My 750 have been in the sea(only for a wery short time), so the only usable part is the frame...

Please speak out if you have some knowledge on the matter...
