Anyone have experience with this? After spending the day pooring over the schematics and scouring here and TOB, I've narrowed my electrical gremlins down to this. I have the manual but it's not helping, I think I'm messing something up. The WOT bypass doesn't work, and I didn't realize the delicate situation and care needed handling keys. I'm pretty sure they are scrambled. I am getting the 2 flashes off the led that indictates key or antenna problems. I can't get the display to show anything other than trip/milage, and time/temp. I can't get it to show key # or anything else I've read about. Anyone know where I can find the reprograming sequence? I'm sure it's any engine lock out, all the symptoms are there, I can jump the coil and it turns over but no spark, etc, etc......

Did you try asking your lil brother for help? haha Cant believe I am wasting my first post on this.... bang head Is how this feels...hopefully mine does not have the same issue. Now I can help search the forum also.

If you figure out how to get around the immobilizer you will quickly achieve hero status.  Bike still under warranty?

No it was totalled and the warantee guy giggled and said "I've seen the pictures"  Undecided It was funny at the moment though. Hey Bro glad you found the site, I hope it's not as addicting for you..... I guess I'm not really trying to turn it off so much as reprogram it. I need to get the display to read the programming info and it ain't happenin'.

Are you trying to temporarily override the system or are you trying to do something permanent?  I'm thinking you must have the emergency code for your bike.  Didn't it used to be your mom's?

I 'm probably be full of sh!t, but I was browsing the Ducati manual the other night and there is a section under the Ducati Diagnostic Sysyem (DDS) called "Procedure to override the immobilizer system" in section D5 page 61 of the S2R Maintenance Manual.  (Download it here if you don't have it yet. http://ducatimonsterworldwide.org/index.php?topic=2018.0)  Yes, it looks like you need a dealer to help you out with the fancy diagnostic machine but I'm thinking it really IS possible to permanently bypass these things but the dealers don't want to touch them.

Although it sounds like you already have the "manual" instructions for an "emergency" override they are in section P8 page 60 of the same manual.  If you have the code at least you can trouble shoot the bike to see if it runs.

Yeah that's the one.... I'm just trying to get it to work. Using the schematic and continutity tool I've come to the conclusion that I put it together ok. After perusing the owners manual, TOB tech section, and numerous other sources, I'm thinking the cause is the immoblizer. I'm getting the two blinks of course.I have the code numbers that you are supposed to input using the throttle. The problem is I don't get the display that would let you input them. I'm gonna check that manual out and hope I can figure it out.

I can take it to the dealership I was trying to avoid the $85hrly shop fee. I don't know if it can be permanently over ridden without reprograming the ECU to run w/o it. I was hoping to reset it. Yeah that's the best term, reset it.

WannaDucBad....

I don't think you get a special screen to input numbers on.

Once you get the EOBD light flashing you have to count the number of flashes and then twist the throttle open to confirm each number in the sequence.

Oh the way it was written I thought it was going to display in LCD where the clock or trip is. I'm going through that manual now it's helping. I got a long name my friends call me WDB  Wink

That manual is awesome thanks for the link. According to the flashes I think my keys are coded properly at this point. I think the antenna maybe the problem, the housing has been cracked but the antenna looked ok, on closer inspection though I can see a crack in the sheething straight to the wire. I'll see if I can barrow the part off my brothers bike to see if that fixes the problem.
