I have noticed, some people have the frame sliders and no axle sliders, is there a reason that I don't know?

I have both on as many bikes as I own. I don't want to cut into fairings to install frame sliders on some of my bikes. Just because I can see me screwing that up. On my Duc SBKs I use Speedy Moto under fairing frame sliders and Rhino Moto front and rear axle sliders. I have Speedy Moto frame sliders and Rhino Moto front and rear axle sliders on the S2R1000 and Sport Classic 1000. On my Gixxer SBKs I also use Rhino Moto axle sliders and Shogun no fairing cut frame sliders. Thankfully I have never tested any of them but I know from other reports they work! It's like a rain suit... if you take it you probably won't need it. Leave it at home you damn sure will. ;D My Hayden Rep RC51 is naked. [thumbsup]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

Slide Panda

It's not an option on some bikes... :(
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Only reason I don't have axle sliders is that nobody makes them for my bike, so only have frame sliders.

The motovation ones I got, you use with a bike stand. Anyone know the exact torque for the frame slider engine bolt on the 696/796/1100? I have searched and come up with different torques, ranging from 40Nm-80NM. That big a variation I 'm not sure what to use. If anyone has specifically for the 796 for 12mm bolt that would be awesome.

at a zero or low speed tip-over...the most important thing to keep off the ground is the tank.

those are lock nuts, when i had them on my 696 i just tightened them down till i couldnt get the slider to rotate called it good.

Thank you very much. One thing I would like to add, in the aircraft industry, we use LPS 3 anti-corrosion spray, I use that on my axle thru bolts for my frame sliders, it just adds that extra protection in case water gets in which it will. Also in the case of the frame slider bolt, dissimilar metal.  FYI.
