I was checking this one out.  I really wanted to try to keep it under a $100 but still have something of decent quality.

In past posts i have commented that T-rex is good enough.
After having mine for a while i realize that budget and good enough
have nothing to do with motorcycle stands.
as a trex owner i say Pitbul for the win.

I originally had the TRex SSS stand.  I later moved on to the front and rear TRex race stands after I installed my front and rear axle sliders.  All of which have worked flawlessly.  I don't use them all that often, so I can't justify paying the extra cash for the other brand stands.  If you plan to use the stand frequently, it might be worth the pitbull.  If not, I would say get the TRex and save the leftover cash for something else.  Just my opinion.

What do you mean with a "two piece one"?

probably in reference to the T-rex having seperate wheelbases that bolt to the lift handle as seen in picture.

cyclecat

(i think no longer available, but they are nice).

I use it for my M900 - spooled, has accomodation for non-spooled DSS bikes.

My front stand is also a CycleCat (lifts at fork bases).

My rearstand for the superbike is an older Pitbull without the swept-up handle, so I have busted my knuckles a bunch (which I do not like). The swept up style of the DP sss rearstand makes avoiding busted-knuckles idiot proof.

I need to get an under triple stand pretty bad. I will probably get the pitbull one of these.

Harbor freight stand. The steel one, not the aluminum one. It's not pretty, but it gets the job done.

Exactly. The two like that Ive had....the legs would separate and it was stable enough that it never fell, but very wobbly.

So I guess its really a 3 piece.

just got a pitbull sss forward facing stand in the mail today, that is one nice stand, seems well built and heavy duty, definitely seems like you get what you pay for which is good customer service, fast shipping and a really nice product, hope it holds up as well as everyone is saying.

pitbull, woodcraft, or vortex.  cheep stands like powerstands, handy, etc.  stay away from.  yeah they are cheep but you'll need that money when your bike dumps over and you need to fix it.  support co.'s like pitbull, vortex, and woodcraft since they put alot back into the sport. bacon

Buy a used stand from CL, I see Pitbulls on there frequently. That's how I got mine. They are super stable.
