Hey, Nice Marmot

« on: September 15, 2010, 07:10:58 PM »

Looking to spruce up my garage and trying to find an online business that would sell this sort of stuff. Looked at Art.com and they are really expensive!   Angry

Mainly Ducati inspired, vintage racing (Like the Duke pic) or even Ducati signage/posters. Doesn't have to be Ducati, as long as I like it.

Any ideas?

 Huh?

I've got a garage full of framed Ducati prints and posters but I can't remember where I ordered them. Some are real old but half of them are just a few years old. I googled Ducati posters but I cannot find the site where I got the newer ones. bang head It had all the classic race posters and the print ads too. They had a ton of Ducati posters. All the sites that showed on google didn't have 20% of the ones from the site I used. I'll keep looking.

If you can find an adequate quality file I can print one-off posters up to 5 feet wide...

I'm doing up my garage in the next few weeks now that it is cleaned out. I have vintage motorcycle and automotive adverts, some of my own photos, and the prerequisite nudie calendars all queued up.

Define "Adequate quality"?

It kind of comes down to you. BARE minimum is 72 dpi@100% scale. At that res you will still see some pixelization. 150 dpi@100% will look about perfect, and 300 dpi@100% will look like it came off a 35mm slide.

From three feet away they will all look perfect.

i like this lady's posters, and she has prints you can get framed you have to email her for others that are not shown on the site

www.facebook.com/elizabethraabphotography

she has a stockpile of photos that are not yet for sale just ask her about them.

Staples does posters up to a certian size, just email or bring them the file and they'll blow it up. It has (should) have hi res or there will be pixels as the OP mentioned.

I did some vacation pics and they were pretty cheap.

most of the time your local dealer has a wealth of posters.
i have a good sized loris cappirosi motogp Sidi ad poster on my wall at work i got for free.
they had M1100 posters (my bike) one time but i was on the bike and no way i was gonna fold it up just to get it home.

I wouldnt mind a 5' red dynamic D poster for my garage. hint hint
christmas is right around the corner. hint hint  Grin

Favorite convo i read on this board
"PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN"
"F**K U IT HAPPENED"

Suzuki Blvd M109R " Sliver " = assassinated by cager
PW 696 " Pearl " = traded in
M1100 " Loki " = Viking God of mischief ( Goddess in this case )
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty pristine body, but rather to come in sliding sideways all used up screaming F*CK YEAH WHAT A RDIE!!
